Social media is filled with noise. Brands compete for clicks, likes, and fleeting attention—but real connection? That’s harder to come by.
This Mother’s Day, we worked with Beyond Beaute’ to run a simple spa giveaway. But rather than just asking people to tag a friend or like a post, we asked something deeper: “Who’s a mom in your life who deserves a moment of appreciation?” That small shift—from a transaction to an invitation—made all the difference.
What followed was nothing short of incredible. Over 200 nominations came in, filled not just with names, but with heartfelt stories. People didn’t just enter—they opened up. They shared memories, described struggles, and honored the everyday heroism of the mothers in their lives. In doing so, they turned a social media post into something much more meaningful: a moment of collective gratitude.
Here are just a few of the responses that reminded us how powerful real storytelling can be:
“She’s been tending to a 2- and 4-year-old day in and day out… and a broken husband that can’t do much. The woman is an absolute SUPERHERO.”

“My daughter wakes up at 4:30am every day to get her son ready. She’s a single mom and never lets him miss out on anything.”
—Irene, nominating her daughter Nyssa, whose quiet strength spoke volumes.
These stories, and many others, reminded us why social media matters—not for the metrics, but for the moments. And they revealed something every brand should keep in mind: when you create space for your audience to share what matters most, they will. You just have to ask the right question.
For Beyond Beaute’, the campaign went far beyond impressions and entries. It reinforced what their brand already stood for—care, appreciation, and community—and allowed their audience to see themselves in that story. While only one winner received the grand prize, the real reward was in the outpouring of love, recognition, and connection that happened along the way.
